Read our Terms below to understand the rules and guidelines for renting vehicles from us
Amended on 1st January, 2026
These Terms and Conditions govern all transportation, rental, and mobility services provided by Nextride. By requesting a service, receiving an invoice, and making any full or partial payment, you expressly confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms.
Payment whether partial or in full constitutes a legally binding acceptance of these Terms and creates a contractual relationship between you and Nextride. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should not proceed with payment or use our services.
All standard rentals are structured around a 12 hour service window unless otherwise stated on your invoice. Any usage beyond the agreed duration will attract additional charges, calculated per hour and based on the vehicle category engaged.
For trips that span 24 hours or involve long-distance travel, customers are responsible for providing suitable accommodation and basic welfare provisions for the assigned driver.
Nextride's base pricing applies within core metropolitan zones. Trips to locations outside these zones attract additional charges due to distance, traffic exposure, and operational overhead.
Out-of-core locations include, but are not limited to: Sangotedo, Badagry, Amuwo-Odofin, Festac Town, Alaba, Ikorodu, Agbara, Agege, Epe, Free Trade Zone, Igando, Akowonjo, Dopemu, Ajah, Agbado, Ojodu Berger, Ajegunle, Ibese, Iyana Ipaja, Alimosho, and Ibeju-Lekki.
For city hires and intercity travel, vehicles are provided with sufficient fuel to cover the entire trip. This only changes if the customer prefers to handle fueling themselves.
This policy ensures vehicle performance, fuel system integrity, and service continuity.
Customers who anticipate exceeding their booked time must notify Nextride and complete payment for the extension before the expiration of the initial service window.
Where no extension is approved or paid for, the driver is entitled to disengage once the booking time lapses, after notifying the client via call or message.
For bookings lasting three days or longer, Nextride may substitute the originally assigned driver with another trained and verified professional. This rotation is essential for safety, compliance with rest standards, and service quality.
For monthly bookings, temporary driver changes may occur due to operational requirements, and customers will be notified in advance.
You are solely responsible for the safety of your personal belongings during a trip. Nextride shall not be liable for any loss, damage, theft, or misplacement of personal property. You are required to ensure that all personal items are removed from the vehicle upon completion of your trip. If any item is left behind, Nextride may assist in returning the item where possible.
However, Nextride does not assume responsibility or liability for any item that is lost, misplaced, or not recovered. Any recovered items will be returned promptly.
Any journey outside Lagos State is treated as a full-day booking, regardless of return time. The rental duration does not reset or extend upon re-entry into Lagos.
Customers remain fully responsible for any payment disputes, reversals, or chargebacks initiated through banks or payment processors. Nextride reserves the right to recover such amounts from payments made or services rendered.
Nextride reserves the right to apply a cancellation fee under the following conditions:
Refunds related to vehicle issues will only be considered if the assigned vehicle breaks down and Nextride is unable to provide a suitable replacement within a reasonable time. In such cases, customers will be eligible for a full or prorated refund, depending on how much of the service was delivered.
No refunds will be issued where a replacement vehicle is provided or where the trip proceeds as agreed after the issue is resolved.
Complimentary or promotional rides are valid strictly within Lagos unless expressly stated otherwise.
Any deviation from the agreed route, additional stops, or extended usage beyond the agreed duration will attract standard charges.
Nextride retains full discretion to approve or decline complimentary itineraries based on feasibility, safety, and scheduling considerations.
Additional charges may apply in the following circumstances:
Applicable charges will be communicated at the point of booking or invoicing.
Airport services are structured as point-to-point engagements.
Each booking covers a single pickup and drop-off, with a four-hour service window. Extensions due to flight delays attract hourly overtime charges.
Cancellations are not permitted within one hour of the scheduled pickup time. Airport tolls and parking fees are payable by the customer.
Unscheduled stops or additional airport trips are treated as separate bookings.
Monthly bookings are valid strictly for the dates stated on the invoice. Unused days do not roll over or extend.
Driver changes may occur due to operational requirements. Where possible, customers will be notified at least four hours in advance of scheduled pickups.
Nextride reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory changes. Updated terms take effect immediately upon publication or direct notification.
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between Nextride and the customers and supersede all prior understandings or representations.
